You might want to note these somewhere or print them because after step 3, you won't be able to switch out from the game to read them.

1. You must have a clean Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas Installed, configured and in working order. There must be no modification added to your game. Also you need to make sure you use the version 1.0 (no patch installed)
    

2. Download and Install MTA:SA Race v1.1.1 (Win 32 Client) from http://www.mtasa.com/dl-archive.html
    

3. After the install, run the MTA Client (Start -> All programs -> MTA San Andreas -> Play MTA San Andreas).
    

4. Once you reach the Main Menu, Select the "Settings" option and Select a nick to use ingame.
    

5. Go back to the main menu and select the "Quick Connect" option.
    

6. Enter the IP "217.18.70.7" and leave the default Port already there (22003) and leave the password field empty then click Connect.
    

7. If you get an error about a full server, it's because there is already the maximum number of players allowed ingame already (32), just wait a little and try again.
    

8. Once you are ingame, all controls will work as you have them set up in your normal game under the "In vehicle" option.
    

9. Here are the special MTA keys and default functions you will use
   -T- Opens up the Talk function where you can type text to send to the chat with Enter
   -F8- Opens up the console to enter commands
   -F11- Take a screenshot
   -Escape- brings up the main menu
